A friend of mine put unleaded in her ‘83 300SD once. “I didn’t know there wasn’t unleaded diesel!” she said. Dealer dropped the tank, flushed the system, all was well.

I’m glad that the TDI has a lockout for the spout...still...why are the diesels in the US green and black for petrol and in the UK is reversed? I was sure I would have misfueled at least once already but I haven’t...whew!

Don’t get me near a Diesel... I have destroyed every Diesel rental car I have ever been given. I managed to live with one for a whole month, but eventually I forgot, and filled it with Gas.

See that’s how it’s supposed to be in the states, but that isn’t always the case. Some stations like to feel special I guess.

In Utah all diesel #2 is green, pretty much any place in the west as far as I can tell.

For the most part that is the case over here, but occasionally a certain brand likes to be an asshole(not saying any names, but Shell).

easy fix to this, change the shape of the nozzles.
one round, one square. Square will not fit into round hole. Round nozzle will not fit into square hole.
